LAHORE: Kia Motors has officially announced its foray into Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) market, unveiling a teaser for its first EV launch at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2024, scheduled to begin on October 25 at the Lahore expo center.

The teaser, tagged “Stay tuned to Electrify your future,” hints at Kia’s commitment to sustainable mobility.

Industry insiders speculate that the debutant EV might be the all-electric Kia EV5, although the company has not confirmed this. The excitement around this launch is palpable, especially since other automakers, including MG Motors and Hyundai, are set to showcase their latest hybrids and plug-in hybrids at PAPS 2024.

Kia’s entry into the EV segment underscores the growing competition and interest in alternative fuel vehicles in Pakistan’s automotive landscape. This move aligns with the global shift toward sustainable mobility, positioning Kia as a key player in the country’s burgeoning EV market.

The Pakistan Auto Show 2024 promises to be an electrifying event, with multiple automakers vying for attention. Kia’s anticipated EV introduction is expected to make a significant impact, catering to the increasing demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions.
