ANF crack down on drugs, siezes 643 kg of narcotics worth over 80 million

RAWALPINDI: In a nationwide operation, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted 10 raids, resulting in the seizure of 643kg of drugs worth over Rs 80 million. The operation led to the arrest of 10 individuals, including a woman, who was involved in drug trafficking.

The ANF recovered various types of narcotics, including hashish, opium, and intoxicated tablets, from different locations across the country. The operation revealed that the accused were supplying drugs to students of educational institutions.

The raids were conducted in various cities, including Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Quetta, Islamabad, Karachi, and Hyderabad. The ANF intercepted vehicles and individuals, recovering significant quantities of drugs.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered a significant quantity of drugs during their operations, including 244.8kg of opium and 357.6kg of hashish from a vehicle in Faisalabad. In Islamabad, 24kg of opium and 2.4kg of hashish were seized from another vehicle.

Additionally, 2.4kg of hashish was recovered from an individual in Rawalpindi, while 170 grams of hashish was found in a person in Peshawar.

Moreover in Faisalabad, a drug dealer was caught with 97 grams of hashish. In Quetta, 200 intoxicated tablets were recovered from two suspects, and in Karachi, 66 grams of heroin were seized from a parcel.

Lastly, 8kg of hashish was recovered from an individual in Hyderabad. These recoveries demonstrate the scope and scale of the ANF’s efforts to combat drug trafficking in Pakistan.

The ANF has registered separate cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the arrested individuals and is conducting further investigations. This operation demonstrates the ANF’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and ensuring a safer Pakistan.
