Benazir Kafalat Program simplifies eligibility, payment checks for families
ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has declared a remarkable enhancement of the quarterly stipend for its beneficiaries who are enrolled under the BISP Kafaalat program.
Beginning January 2025, the qualifying beneficiaries will be offered Rs13,500 per quarter which is an increase of Rs3,000 from the previous figure of Rs10,500.
This was revealed by BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid who also revealed that the program is intended to cover 10 million families by the end of 2024.
The BISP Kafaalat initiative is a flagship program under the Benazir Income Support Programme for the provision of cash grants to the economically active population in Pakistan.
This program aims to empower women through cash disbursement to alleviate poverty and promote social cohesion. To qualify for the program, there are expectations from families including a Proxy Means Test (PMT) less or equal to 32.
To apply for the BISP Kafaalat program, apps bisp.gov.pk interested individuals can fill out the online application on the official website of BISP.
Moreover, it is also necessary to make changes to your CNIC at NADRA because of its expiry date. After submission of the online form, the home survey will be conducted by a BISP representative to certify eligibility.

The scale of the Benazir Income Support Programme to date has been significant in the provision of financial help to several families across Pakistan.
