Cement price increases massively after budget 2024 approval; Check latest rate here

ISLAMABAD: After the implementation of the new federal budget, the price of cement per bag has increased from 130 to 140 rupees, here on Monday.

As per the details, after Rs100 excise duty on a sack, the price of a sack of cement has increased from Rs1410 to Rs1420. The new prices for cement have also been applied today.

On the other hand, cement exports from the country recorded an increase of 57% on an annual basis during the current financial year.

According to the statistics of the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association, 7.15 million tonnes of cement have been exported since the beginning of the current financial year, which is 57% more than the same period of the previous financial year.

In the same period of the previous financial year, the volume of cement exports was recorded at 4.57 million tonnes; in the month of June so far, the export of cement was recorded at 0.51 million tonnes, which is 11% less than June last year.

In June last year, the volume of cement exports was recorded at 0.58 million tonnes. According to the statistics, during the current fiscal year, the domestic consumption of cement in the country was recorded at 37.87 million tonnes, which is 5% less than the same period of the previous fiscal year. In the same period of the previous financial year, domestic consumption of cement in the country was recorded at 40.02 million metric tonnes.
