ISLAMABAD: The retail price of cement has increased in the country last week.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price of cement per sack in the northern cities of the country was recorded at Rs 1402 in the week ending December 18, which is 0.9 percent more than the previous week. The previous week, the average retail price of cement per sack in the northern cities of the country was recorded at Rs 1389.
Similarly, the average retail price of cement per sack in the southern cities of the country was recorded at Rs 1446 in the week ending December 18, which is 0.06 percent more than the previous week. The average retail price of cement per sack in the southern cities of the country was recorded at Rs 1445 in the previous week.
According to statistics, last week the average retail price of cement per sack in Islamabad was recorded at Rs 1367, Rawalpindi at Rs 1361, Gujranwala at Rs 1450, Sialkot at Rs 1420, Lahore at Rs 1488, Faisalabad at Rs 1390, Sargodha at Rs 1397, Multan at Rs 1451, Bahawalpur at Rs 1440, Peshawar at Rs 1353 and Bannu at Rs 1300.
Similarly, the average retail price of cement per sack in Karachi was recorded at Rs 1378, Hyderabad at Rs 1428, Sukkur at Rs 1530, Larkana at Rs 1407, Quetta at Rs 1490 and Khuzdar at Rs 1443.
