LAHORE: The price of poultry chicken increased in Punjab during the holy month of Ramadan, while the government failed to crack down on the nasty profiters.
The escalating prices have put a huge pressure on consumers’ purchasing power, with the cost of poultry meat reaching Rs 650 to 660 per kg in local market. This surge marks a 30% increase in poultry prices over the past month, exacerbating market volatility.
