PESHAWAR: The price of flour has increased significantly in Peshawar in a single day, with the price of a 20 kg bag of mixed flour increasing by Rs 300.
According to the Flour Dealers Association, a 20 kg bag of mixed flour has increased from Rs 2,300 to Rs 2,600. The price of fine flour has also increased by Rs 200, after which a 20 kg bag of fine flour is being sold for Rs 2,700. The Flour Dealers Association says that the market is facing a shortage due to the ban on wheat supply from Punjab.
According to the association, if the situation continues, there is a possibility of further increase in flour prices due to further reduction in stock. Citizens have expressed concern over the sudden increase in prices and demanded immediate action from the government.
