ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant increase on the first day of 2025 after stabilizing yesterday.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA) reported an increase of Rs1,000 in the price of gold per tola, taking the price to Rs273,600. The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs858 to Rs234,568.
The APGJA attributed the increase to the increase in global gold prices, which increased from $10 to $2,624 per ounce.
The trend of significant increase in prices continues during 2024. Last year, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan witnessed an unprecedented increase of Rs52,600. The global price of gold per ounce increased by 25.55%, representing an increase of Rs45,096.
