KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant decline, following a downward trend in the international bullion market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs3,600, bringing the new rate to Rs421,836.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also fell by Rs3,086, settling at Rs361,656.
In the international market, the price of gold declined by $36 per ounce, reaching $3,994 (including a premium of $20), which contributed to the drop in local prices.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved lower, with the price per tola decreasing by Rs126 to Rs6,029.
