LAHORE: The price of dairy products has been increased in Punjab’s capital of Lahore despite the provincial government’s efforts to control the prices.

According to the market rates, milk vendors in Lahore have increased the price of milk from Rs 180 to Rs 200 per liter, while the price of yogurt has been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 220-230 per kg.

Market sources said that the prices of milk and yogurt have been increased by Rs 20 to Rs 30 per kg in different areas of the city.

Regarding the price increase, milk vendors and shopkeepers say that the increasing expenses caused the rise in prices.

On the other hand, regarding the increase in the prices of milk and yogurt, citizens said that the administration has left them helpless. They complained that there was no authority to address the issue or hold vendors accountable.
