ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has issued a notification to reduce electricity prices.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had requested Nepra to reduce electricity prices by 37 paise per unit.
On the request of CPPA, Nepra has issued a notification to reduce electricity prices by 48 paise per unit, which will not apply to lifeline consumers.
According to the notification issued by Nepra, electricity prices have been reduced in the form of fuel price adjustment for September.
The notification states that the relief to electricity consumers will be transferred to November bills, while it will also apply to consumers in Karachi.
