Petrol prices likely to rise for next fortnight, Check expected rates inside

ISLAMABAD: The prices of petroleum products in the country are likely to increase by up to Rs 5.50 per liter for the next 15 days in Pakistan.

According to sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will send its summary to the government today. The Prime Minister will approve the change in the prices of petroleum products on the recommendation of OGRA. The new prices will be implemented after the Prime Minister’s approval.

Sources said that the prices of high-speed diesel are proposed to increase by Rs 5.27 per liter, and petrol may become expensive by Rs 1.12 per liter.

In addition, kerosene is likely to become expensive by Rs 4.16 while light diesel is likely to become expensive by Rs 4.13 per liter.

According to the report, the details of the working of the Oil Companies Advisory Council have come to light. Due to the high cost of oil in the global market, a working paper on oil marketing companies has been prepared.
