Slight increase in the price of cement per sack

ISLAMABAD: A slight increase was recorded in the retail price of cement in the country during the week.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, the average retail price of cement per sack in northern cities was recorded at Rs 1,482 in the week ending March 26, which is 0.43 percent higher than the previous week.

The average retail price of cement per sack in northern cities was recorded at Rs 1,476 in the previous week.

The average price of cement per sack in southern cities was recorded at Rs 1,489 in the week ending March 26, which is 1.20 percent higher than the previous week. The previous week, the price per sack in southern cities was Rs 1,471.

During the past week, the price of cement per sack was recorded at Rs 1,441 in Islamabad, Rs 1,433 in Rawalpindi, Rs 1,520 in Gujranwala, Rs 1,510 in Sialkot, Rs 1,509 in Lahore, Rs 1,450 in Faisalabad, Rs 1,500 in Sargodha, Rs 1,513 in Multan, Rs 1,513 in Bahawalpur, Rs 1,533 in Peshawar and Rs 1,400 in Bannu.

Cement sales record 9% increase on an annual basis

The price per sack was recorded at Rs 1,400 in Karachi, Rs 1,498 in Hyderabad, Rs 1,550 in Sukkur, Rs 1,413 in Larkana, Rs 1,470 in Quetta and Rs 1,600 in Khuzdar.
