QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti recently distributed certificates and awards to talented students who completed skill-based and innovative training under the Balochistan Youth Empowerment and Engagement Initiative in Quetta.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the program, which aims to equip young people with the necessary skills and provide employment opportunities to make them economically self-sufficient.

During the event, laptops were distributed among 46 outstanding students, and renowned software companies offered jobs and internships to 50 trainees.

This initiative has already trained over 6,000 youth from across Balochistan in various fields, opening new doors for the young generation and contributing to the province’s economic and social development.

By focusing on skill development and employment opportunities, the program seeks to harness the potential of Balochistan’s youth and empower them to drive positive change.

The initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision to uplift the region through education, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Similar efforts, such as the Honhaar Scholarships program, aim to provide better educational opportunities to talented students in Balochistan, with benefits including laptops and potential e-bikes for transportation.

Other initiatives, like Google Career Certificates Scholarships offered by Tech Valley Pakistan, are also working to upskill the youth in areas like project management, UI/UX design, and cybersecurity.
