ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced new timings for schools in the federal capital with effect from August 5.
According to the notification, the new school timings will take effect after the educational institutions will reopen after the summer vacations.
As per the details, the institutions with morning shifts will open from 7:30 am to 01:30 pm on Monday to Thursday. For Friday, educational institutes will close at 12:30 pm.
For the evening shift, schools and colleges will start at 2 pm and end at 7 pm on Monday and Thursday. Meanwhile, schools on Friday will start at 2:30 pm.
Earlier, due to the ongoing heat wave in the country, the Federal Ministry of Education extended the summer vacation for schools and colleges in Islamabad until August 4.
A notification stated, “Due to the severe heat and humidity in the Federal Capital, summer vacation in ICT schools and colleges has been extended to August 4, 2024.” Schools and colleges will resume on August 5.
