KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has invited students who have secured 97% marks in the MDCAT test for admissions in government medical and dental colleges and universities.

Students scoring 97% in MDCAT have been called to the FIA Cyber Crime Office in Karachi.

According to the notice issued by FIA, the students have been instructed to appear in the FIA Cybercrime Circle on November 1 at 12 pm.

The notice said that it is practically impossible for any student to score such high scores, and there are suspicions that students may be involved in exam leakage or are aware of the facts.

The FIA Cybercrime Deputy Director said that the statements of the students will be recorded to ensure a fair trial.

According to cybercrime officials, mock tests of students may also be conducted in the office and legal action will be taken based on the evidence available on record.

Officials said that the summoned students belong to various higher secondary education boards.

The Sindh High Court ordered MDCAT to be retaken in four weeks.

Separately, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University to conduct a fresh MDCAT entrance exam in the wake of the controversy.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued the order following a petition that highlighted discrepancies in the actual exam, including questions found outside the syllabus approved by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
