Fully-funded scholarships announced for Pakistani students

BERN: The Swiss Federal Government has opened the call for applications for the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships 2026–2027, giving Pakistani students and researchers a chance to study advanced academic courses and conduct research at a Swiss institution.

The elite program offers scholarships for PhD, research, and postdoctoral fellowships, allowing scholars to research at Swiss universities, federal institutes of technology, and recognized research institutions.

As per the announcement, the scholarships are designed to promote international exchange and research collaboration between Switzerland and over 180 nations, such as Pakistan.

The scholarships are available to top Pakistani graduates and researchers who are interested in serving academia, innovation, and cross-cultural knowledge transfer.

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are highly competitive, and applicants are judged based on scholarly merit, research promise, and the applicability of their projects to Swiss institutions.

Pakistani students and researchers are advised to submit their applications very early before the deadline to allow sufficient time for the submission of all necessary documents.
