KARACHI: The Karachi Board of Secondary Education (BSEK) has announced the position holders for the annual Matric Science exams for the year 2024.
According to the Karachi board, a government school has secured the first position after 28 years.
Hafiz Abdul Rafay Tariq of Delhi Government Boys Secondary School in Karimabad secured a top position getting 1,040 out of 1,100 marks, achieving a percentage of 94.55%.
Out of the 162,026 candidates who appeared for the Matric Science exams, 131,614 were declared successful, resulting in a pass rate of 81.24%.
As per result, 23,943 candidates passed with an A-1 grade, 45,357 with an A grade, 37,595 with a B grade, 20,837 with a C grade, 4,031 with a D grade, and 25 candidates secured an E grade.
A total of 76,831 female candidates and 85,195 male candidates participated in the exams. Among them, 63,767 females and 67,847 males were successful.
