KP CM announces free higher education for orphans, new internship program

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced free higher education for orphan students who have passed the MDCAT exam, as well as a new internship program for bachelors and master’s degree holders across the province.

Addressing a function held at Frontier Women’s College, the Chief Minister unveiled several important initiatives to promote education and support talented students, especially women and orphans.

Under the newly launched Insaf Female Education Card, around 55,000 female students will receive free higher education, enabling more young women to continue their educational journey without financial constraints.

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi stressed that education is the foundation of development and his government is committed to providing equal opportunities to all students.

He directed the relevant departments to launch an internship program aimed at helping graduates gain practical experience and bridging the gap between academia and the professional world.
