The Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz has launched an amazing initiative called the “Magnificent Punjab” Tourism Internship Programme, which aims providing graduates with professional exposure and skill-building opportunities.
This programme gives graduates significant professional exposure and skill-building opportunities. Interns will work for three months, of which there are 1,000 internships available.
The first batch will constitute roughly 250 interns. Selected interns will be given a stipend of PKR 60,000 monthly. This is a tremendous opportunity for graduates eager to gain their hands dirty in exploring Punjab’s rich heritage, culture, and tourism.
Though the program specifies very narrow and detailed eligibility criteria, this internship requires candidates to have one of the following degrees: Archaeology, History, Anthropology, Architecture, Forensic Science, Civil Engineering, Communication Studies, or Culture Heritage Management among many others.
The program flyer has a detailed list of the relevant fields; hence candidates are advised to look into the flyer for details. The application process is simple. Interested candidates can submit their applications either by scanning the QR code provided in the program’s promotional material or by going directly to the official website https://mpip.punjab.gov.pk. .
The deadline for submission is February 5, 2025, for the age group of 21-28 years, as they are eligible to apply.
This is yet another step towards bridging the educational realm with the professional ones, and it is aimed at empowering the youth using experiences in the preservation and promotion of Punjab’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
The program also aims at fostering a connection with the legacy of the province and giving the youth an avenue to contribute to the process of building a monument for the very essence of Punjab’s culture.
