LAHORE: The Punjab government has sanctioned a 4.217 billion stipend package for college intern teachers to support more than 8,000 interns in the province.
The project is intended to motivate young intermediate-level students and recent graduates to pursue practical experience as teachers in colleges.
At the end of the internship, all the participants will receive experience certificates, their professional qualifications and their employability improved.
The program also focuses on inclusivity and reserves 404 seats for minorities, 243 seats for disabled people, and 40 seats for transgender people. These practices provide equal opportunities to all sections of society to join the teaching internship program.

Such support ensures the development of skills, professional expertise, and inculcates long-term careers in teaching.
