QUETTA: Sarfraz Bugti is the nominee for Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan by Asif Ali Zardari, co-chairman of the Pakistan People Party (PPP).

A few weeks before the February 8 elections, Sarfraz Bugti, the caretaker government’s former Home Minister, announced his decision to join the PPP, marking a dramatic political shift in his career. As of right now, no nomination document has been submitted for CM Balochistan. Asif Ali Zardari is expected to make an official announcement regarding his nominations. This declaration is important because it will determine Balochistan’s leadership structure and how different political groups worked together to build the province’s government.

Furthermore, sources acquainted with the changing political scene predict that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will be involved in the formation of the government.
