Imran Khan nominates Ali Amin Gandapur as CM KP

ISLAMABAD: Ali Amin Gandapur has been nominated by Imran Khan, the former chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI), to be the Chief Minister (CM) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
There were three people in the running for the CM post in the province’s upcoming term.

The names of Ali Amin Gandapur, Taj Mohammad Tarand, and Mushtaq Ghani, leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), had been put forth for the position of KP Chief Minister. But because he had led from the front and remained solidly in the party’s camp, Gandapur was a serious candidate for the position of chief minister. He was nominated by PTI founder Imran Khan to be the CM of KP.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gandapur held the position of provincial revenue minister in the first Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration. He also held the position of minister for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir affairs in the cabinet of former prime minister Imran Khan.
