RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The meeting discussed the overall situation in the region, ongoing efforts for peace, and matters of mutual interest, as per the ISPR.
During the meeting, Iranian President Dr. Masoud appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in promoting dialogue, reducing tensions, and regional stability in the region.
He also paid tribute to Pakistan’s continuous efforts to encourage the peaceful resolution of conflicts and promote mutual understanding among regional parties amid the current geopolitical challenges.
On this occasion, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace and stability in the region and said that Pakistan will continue its efforts to promote regional peace and constructive diplomacy.
During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran and continue close consultations on all matters of mutual interest.
Both sides agreed to further promote cooperation to achieve the common goal of peace, prosperity, and stability in the region.
