Booster doses of Covid-19 vaccines begins in Sindh

KARACHI: Another round of booster doses of Covid-19 vaccines begins in Sindh province on Monday.

Sindh Health Minister told media, around 9 million people will be vaccinated from June 6 till June 19.

Azra Pechuho told that our aim is up to 9 million boosters doses in Sindh from age 12 onwards.

The technical team for the vaccination process will comprise 9,701 social workers.

According to NCOC, the total confirmed cases reported in Sindh have reached up to 577,687.

The recorded deaths due to Covid-19 have reached 8106 while 567,237 recoveries were recorded.

Assistance will be provided to the social workers.

Teams will be divided into the centers, and mobile vaccination will be dispensed, Dr. Irshad Memon.

He also told that the teams of the department of health Sindh will go door to door for the immunization.

Covid-19 can make pregnant women feel ill, but vaccination can reduce the risk of miscarriage by 15%.
