In a low-scoring encounter, Karachi Kings thrashed Quetta Gladiators by 7 wickets to clinch their third victory of the ongoing tournament on Wednesday.
Quetta Gladiators failed to defend low score target against Kings in the 22nd match of PSL 9 played at Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Karachi Kings’s pacer Hassan Ali was awarded the Player of the Match award for his brilliant 4/15 with an economy of 3.75.
Karachi Kings achieved the target of 119 runs in the 15.3 overs and for just three wickets. Wicketkeeper batsman Tim Seifert scored 49 runs with a brilliant partnership with James Vince who scored 27 runs. Allrounder Shoaib Malik also scored 27* runs, while Skipper Shaun Masood managed to score 7 runs.

Earlier in the middle, Shan Masood after winning the toss invited Gladiators to bat which proved key for Kings as Quetta lost the key wickets early in the match.
After the early loss of Jason Roy, Saud Shakeel, and Khawaja Nafay managed to stitch a 47-run partnership before Saud Shakeel fell safe in the hands of Shoaib Malik.
After that, the purple force kept losing wickets and were all pulled out by the Kings at 118 in 19.1 overs. For Gladiators, Saud Shakeel was the top scorer with 33 runs followed by Khawaja Nafay who made 17. Jason Roy scored 15 runs, Akeal Hosein 14, and skipper Rilee Rossouw 10 runs.
Hasan Ali bagged four wickets, Zahid Mehmood and Blessing Muzarabani clinched two each while Mir Hamza took one wicket.
