Shaheen stated during the hearing that he had not been notified that the case will be heard today (Tuesday). He claimed to have learned about the hearing from the morning’s TV. DD (Law) was questioned by the member commission on whether or not he had notified the parties.

According to the DD Law, the next hearing date was disclosed at the prior hearing.

Shaheen claimed that by asking the commission to postpone the hearing, they were depriving the PTI of its freedom to express criticism. The party had previously relinquished the election symbol. Their leader will then receive a contempt of court punishment during election days.

The ECP member claimed that they had not stolen the PTI’s electoral emblem because it had never been provided to the party. Then he stated that the PTI was in power two years had passed since the case was instituted.

Shaheen expressed his desire for the decision to follow the law and the constitution. It was best that the PTI members keep their emotions to themselves because they were in excruciating pain and were deeply troubled by the current circumstances.

According to Shaheen, their Rahim Yar Khan attorneys were booked.

As per the ECP member, their lawyers launched an attack there. Criticism is necessary, but not abuse. These lawsuits began to be processed in 2021.

The PTI prolonged and dragged out the case. They spoke nothing about the extraordinary events that occurred in jail. He claimed they could do anything about it, but they chose not to.

Then Shoaib Shaheen had exchange of words with members of the ECP after which the matter was deferred to January 24.
