IG Prisons launches an app to facilitate visitation at Karachi Central Jail

Manzoor Ali Shah, the Inspector General (IG) of Prisons, has introduced an app to make visiting at Karachi Central Jail easier. The institution has had trouble effectively handling family visits due to long-standing overcrowding problems. Touted as a game-changer, the recently implemented automated system aims to expedite the visitor procedure.

As a result of the creative application “Ameelio Connect,” guests may now easily schedule appointments online, avoiding the usual problems associated with lengthy lines.
