The CDA board has approved this program, with the Asian Cheetah, an endangered species, serving as the mascot. This action not only promotes the city but also emphasizes the significance of wildlife conservation.

This cheetah-themed mascot is set to become Islamabad’s new identity and will be vital for promoting the federal capital’s cultural significance. MarGo, a trendy cheetah wearing sunglasses and a muffler, represents Islamabad’s vibrancy, rapid growth, and dynamism.

The name MarGo is formed from “Mar” representing Margalla Hills and “Go” signifying prosperity and flourishing.
