Muslim World League secretary-general spends Eid day with orphans in Islamabad

The Muslim World League (MWL) secretary-general, Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, visited an orphanage in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Thursday. He celebrated Eid Al-Fitr with the orphan kids.

On a nine-day journey to promote religious unity and fortify Saudi Arabia’s bilateral ties with Pakistan, Dr. Al-Issa arrived in Islamabad late on Sunday night.

The MWL is a non-governmental organization with its headquarters in Makkah that speaks for Muslims worldwide.

The Muslim World League posted on Facebook that “His Excellency Sheikh Dr. #MohammedAlissa, Secretary-General of the MWL, visited the Ali bin Abi Talib Orphanage, affiliated with the #MuslimWorldLeague in Pakistan.”

“He opened new facilities, including a training center and a gymnasium, and celebrated Eid with the orphans.”

The visit took place the day after Dr. Al-Issa gave the sermon at the Shah Faisal Mosque in Islamabad on Eid Al-Fitr.

Al-Issa urged Muslims to remember the Palestinian people in their prayers and in their hearts during the speech.

While we celebrate this happy occasion, we never forget the tragedy that befell our brethren in Gaza as a result of the aggressiveness and haughtiness. He prayed that the Almighty would provide them a positive outcome in their trials and that the crimes they had done would turn the tables on their perpetrators.

Additionally, he discussed how Muslims should utilize their deeds to portray Islam in its most accurate light.

Dr. Al-Issa will meet at top levels with Pakistan’s president, prime minister, and minister of religious affairs during his nine-day tour.

The government spokesperson said that on April 15, the MWL secretary-general would sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Pakistani government to establish a state-of-the-art Seerat-un-Nabi Museum in the federal capital. The MWL secretary-general would also conduct the groundbreaking ceremony for the museum.
