ISLAMABAD: The first phase of the privatization of the national airline has been completed.
Three pre-qualified bidders have submitted bids for the purchase of the national airline. The bids of the bidders will be opened at 3:30 pm. The reference price will be fixed in the Privatization Commission Board meeting.
After the reference price is fixed, the reference price will be approved in the Cabinet Committee on Privatization meeting.
Privatization Advisor Muhammad Ali, while talking to reporters after the completion of the first phase of bidding, said that the first phase of bidding for the sale of the national airline has been completed. Now we will go to the PC Board. The PC Board will look at the national airline reserve price. No one knows the reserve price. After the approval of the reserve price from the board, it will go to the Cabinet Committee.
The Privatization Advisor said that the Cabinet Committee will give final approval regarding the reserve price. It is a very big step. No major privatization has been done for 20 years.
