Rajab Butt gets interim bail in Blasphemy case

LAHORE: In a recent development, YouTuber and TikToker Rajab Butt on Thursday obtained interim bail in PECA and 295C case, which pertains to blasphemy.

The court also ordered Rajab Butt to report to the police and assist the investigation. It is to be remarked that the case was reported at Nishtar colony police station after Butts 295-perfume launch, which caused mass controversy on internet.

In December last year, Rajab Butt was taken into custody for brandishing guns in public and maintaining a lion cub in his house without a licence.

Police raided the house of his residence in the Chuhng area in collaboration with the Wildlife Department after a complaint was reported that the YouTuber had wildlife without a license and openly showcased weapons.

Reports indicated police and wildlife confiscated the lion cub vlogger was gifted at his wedding ceremony. Subsequently, a court-designated judicial magistrate held the vlogger guilty for keeping a lion cub illegally and directed him to perform  community service for one year as an alternative to imprisonment.

He will create/make a vlog in the shape of a video with exclusive content on the right of the animal for a complete five minutes within the first week of each month for a complete year from February 2025 to January 2026, states the verdict given by Magistrate Hamidul Rehman Nasir.
