LAHORE: YouTuber Saad Rehman, also known by the name Ducky Bhai, has been released from Camp Jail after 90 days.

His release order was issued by the court today, following which he was released.

The Lahore High Court had granted him bail earlier this week in a case about the promotion of online gambling apps, against surety bonds of Rs1 million.

Justice Shehram Sarwar, during the hearing, said the granting of bail by a lower court is unusual as per the Supreme Court verdicts.

Consequently, he had to spend a night in prison as his release order could not be issued yesterday.

However, on Wednesday morning, Judicial Magistrate Naeem Bhutto issued the formal release directive, ordering that Ducky Bhai be set free immediately if he is not wanted in any other case.

An FIR has been registered against him with the FIA’s NCIA on charges of promoting online gambling. Officials say further investigation is underway.

Family members and friends were present outside the jail at the time of his release.
