Youtuber Hassan Chishti arrested for spreading hatered against girls education

LAHORE: Controversial YouTuber Hassan Iqbal Chishti has been detained amid outrage over his antiwomen’s education content. In a case of public outcry demanding strict sanctions, police in Punjab detained Chishti because of his multiple posts of misogynistic material towards girls’ education.

The songs of the local YouTuber are harmful, derogatory, and conservative in nature, and authorities removed all videos from Mr. Chishtis YouTube channel.

He drew public attention last year after he amassed 100,000 views and a viral song “Othy Dance Kardi Payie, which insinuated schoolgirls were indecent.

He continued to post, explicitly criticizing fathers who took their daughters to school. The YouTubers subject matter initiated a wave of backlash, and calls for legal action where whereas authorities confirmed receiving multiple reports accusing him of inciting hatred and creating misinformation.
