The ex-wife of former prime minister Imran Khan, Jemima Goldsmith, recently brought attention to the startling number of children dying in Gaza in a post on her X account.

She departed from her earlier position of criticizing “both sides” and emphasized the parallel with the child deaths that occurred during the 14-year conflict in Iraq.

The post focused on how Israeli actions have caused an unprecedented number of child deaths in Gaza in just one month.

“The number of children being killed in Gaza is unprecedented,” the speaker said. In a single month in Gaza, fewer children were killed in Iraq during the last 14 years of conflict (2008–2022).

The post also claimed that the number of civilian deaths from Israel and Gaza conflicts is higher than the total number of deaths from all conflicts worldwide in the 20th century.
