Sources report that three injured police officers were moved to a hospital

TANK: A terrorist attack in Police Lines in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resulted in the embrace of martyrdom by at least two police officers and the injuries of three more.

The militants reportedly targeted the police early on Friday morning.

They claimed that one terrorist had been killed in retaliation, Dera Road had been closed to traffic, and a search and rescue operation was in progress.

The injured police officers have reportedly been moved to a hospital, according to hospital sources.

The most recent event occurred a few days after six suicide bombers, according to security officials, crashed an explosive-laden truck into a military base in the volatile Daraban neighborhood of Dera Ismail Khan district early on Tuesday, inspiring at least 23 soldiers to accept martyrdom and injuring numerous others.

Six terrorists attacked a security forces post in the Dera Ismail Khan neighborhood of Daraban early on December 12, 2023. After the terrorists’ attempt to breach the post was successfully thwarted, they were forced to crash an explosive-laden vehicle into it and then carry out a suicide bombing attack.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that “the subsequent explosions caused the building to collapse, causing multiple casualties; twenty-three brave soldiers embraced shahadat, while all six terrorists were effectively engaged and sent to hell.” Tehreek-e-Jihad-e-Pakistan (TJP), a little-known militant organization, took credit for one of the deadliest assaults on Pakistani security personnel.
