AJK marks 78th Youm-e-Tasees with patriotic zeal

MUZAFFARABAD: The Youm-e-Tasees of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is celebrated with national fervor on 24 October every year.

This day is celebrated in memory of the brave Mujahideen and martyrs who raised the flag of rebellion against the Dogra Raj and Indian occupation in 1947 and sacrificed their lives.

The Youm-e-Tasees not only commemorates the struggle for freedom but is also celebrated as a symbol of brotherhood, sacrifice, and national unity between Pakistan and Kashmir.

This day is a renewal of the pledge that the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination is irrevocable and irrevocable.

24 October 1947 is a historic day when the Kashmiri people raised their voice against slavery and broke the chains of oppression.
