ANF arrests five, recovers Rs1.8 million worth of drugs

ISLAMABAD: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recovered over 10 kg of drugs worth Rs 1.8 million during the five operations across the country, an ANF spokesman said on Friday.

The anti-narcotics forces also arrested five accused and cases have been registered against them under the Narcotics Control Act and further investigations are under process.

The ANF spokesman informed that 1.605 kg drug was recovered from the possession of an accused rounded up near a hospital in Korangi, Karachi.

The arrested accused confessed to selling drugs to the students of educational institutions.

Moreover, 3.6 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of the accused arrested in Sector G-9 in Islamabad.

Another drug dealer was apprehended from Sona Khan Chowk in Quetta with 3.6 kg of hashish.

“1 kg of ice was recovered from the accused held from Bohana Chowk on Jhang Road, Faisalabad. 500 grams of heroin hidden in 6 bags was recovered from Bahria Town in Islamabad,” the statement maintained.
