QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has denied the rumors and said that the murder is being described on social media as the murder of a newlywed couple, while the fact is that the deceased Bano Bibi was already married and the mother of five children, and the deceased Ehsanullah was also married.
Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, while holding a press conference on Monday, said that he had taken notice and ordered the IG to arrest the accused even before the video of the incident went viral on social media.
He added that, so far, 13 people have been arrested in this case, while raids are being conducted to arrest more.
He added that there is no sympathy for any murderer. The state has always stood with the oppressed, and in this case, too, the state is with the oppressed.
He confirmed the suspension of the concerned DSP and said that tribal chief Sardar Sherbaz Khan has also been arrested.
He clarified that the government is conducting a transparent and impartial investigation into the incident.
The Chief Minister said that he would not follow the victim-blaming approach. He said that no one has the right to kill anyone while making personal decisions.
