FAISALABAD: In a bizarre twist on a typical heist, a pair of pizza-loving robbers in Faisalabad robbed a delivery boy of four freshly baked pizzas at gunpoint.
The incident happened after placing an order to a popular pizza chain late at night. Usman, the delivery driver, followed directions to Street No. 1 in Kahakshan Colony, where he expected to find hungry customers. Instead, he was met by two gunmen on a motorcycle with an unusual demand: Give me the pizza, or else!
The “pizza pirates”, as some locals have taken to calling them, make off with the pizza, leaving Osman stunned and empty-handed. The police immediately registered a case at the Saddar police station against the unidentified accused, for what can only be described as “food robbery”.
This isn’t the gang’s first taste of pie either. Just a few days ago, in Sufian Town, two men of a similar description grabbed two pizzas worth Rs 1,800 from another delivery boy. Locals and police alike are scratching their heads, wondering if Faisalabad has its own “pizza bandits”.
In the meantime, delivery drivers are advised to be vigilant and watch out for any suspicious “pizza lovers” lurking on motorbikes.
