ISLAMABAD: Ahead of the visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a high-level ministerial delegation led by Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Reznikov has arrived in Islamabad. Important agreements are expected to be signed between the two countries during the visit.
The delegation arrived on Sunday evening and includes 8 Belarusian ministers and 43 businessmen. President Lukashenko will arrive in Islamabad on Monday.
The delegation was warmly welcomed at the Islamabad airport by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Additional Secretary for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Shafaq Ali Khan and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan.
The visit is being seen as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance cooperation in various fields. Important meetings and agreements are expected during the stay of the delegation and the Belarusian President is also expected to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Army Chief.
