KARACHI: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Officers Association is seeking departmental promotions, citing delays in the promotion process. Zareen Gul Durrani, chairman of the CAA officers, highlighted this issue in a letter to the concerned authorities, emphasizing that many officers are still awaiting promotions.
The letter also mentioned that no Departmental Promotion Committee has been formed for CAA officers, contributing to the slow pace of promotions and causing concern among the officers.
Nadir Shafi Dar, newly appointed as the permanent Director-General of the Civil Aviation Authority, may play a crucial role in addressing these concerns.
With his expertise in aviation and experience as DG Regulatory, Dar’s leadership could potentially expedite the promotion process. The Aviation Ministry’s notification of Dar’s appointment as DG CAA for three years aims to bring stability and efficiency to the organization.
