ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has delighted scores of its Muslim workers by conducting the official balloting for the Hajj 2026 pilgrimage successfully.
In a touching turn of events, hundreds of lower-grade staff members, including supervisors, lift operators, security guards, fitters, Malis (gardeners), and beldars who had put in their applications for the holy trip, anxiously waited for the draw results.
After an open balloting system, the CDA administration published and made public a comprehensive list of winning employees, stating their names, job designations, and working departments. The news brought joy and appreciation to the fortunate employees, who had dreamed of performing Hajj for years but were short of money to carry out this act of devotion on their own.
The officials said that the authority is focused on providing equal opportunities to all of its employees irrespective of scale or designation.
Balloting was strictly supervised so that the process was transparent and just. There were hundreds of applicants from among its workforce seeking to make a place in the 2026 pilgrimage.
The move has been highly welcomed not only among the authorities but also among other circles in the federal capital for inclusiveness and concern for the well-being of lower-grade and junior staff.
