LONDON: Chevening, the UK government‘s international scholarship programme, applications opened on Tuesday. It closes on November 5.
As per the details, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organizations offer awards to study in the UK for one year on a fully funded master’s degree course.
“Tuition fees, living expenses, travel visas, accommodation are all covered so you can study in the UK worry-free,” UK High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott said in a video statement.
“You are the future of Pakistan and Chevening offers a unique opportunity for you to take it to the next level. No matter your field, gender, religion or background, apply for Chevening!” she said
All Chevening applicants must submit their academic documents, references, and an unconditional UK university offer. The deadline for these required documents is in the Chevening application timeline.
To be considered, applicants must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country, hold an undergraduate degree, and have a minimum of two years of work experience.
They must also meet English language requirements. Candidates need to submit academic transcripts, a short biography essay, a certificate of achievement, and two recommendation letters.
The application process is highly competitive, with only 2% to 3% of applicants being selected. The selection criteria emphasize the candidate’s commitment to creating positive change in their home country and how a UK Master’s degree will facilitate this objective. Interested individuals can submit their applications via the Chevening website at chevening.org/apply.
