Chicken meat prices drop in different cities

FAISALABAD: Chicken meat prices have decreased in Lahore and Faisalabad.

In Lahore, the price of broiler chicken meat has been recorded to decrease by Rs 7 per kg, after which the new price has been set at Rs 548 per kg. Yesterday, the price of broiler meat per kg was Rs 555.

According to market sources, today the wholesale price of live broiler is Rs 364 while it is being sold at retail at Rs 378 per kg. On the other hand, the price of farm eggs has stabilized and the price of a dozen eggs remains at Rs 246.

Chicken meat has also become cheaper by Rs 11 in Faisalabad, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken in the city has been set at Rs 359 per kg while the retail rate has been set at Rs 373 per kg.

Chicken meat is being sold at Rs 540 per kg in Faisalabad, the price of eggs per dozen is Rs 246. Yesterday, chicken meat was priced at Rs 551 per kg in Faisalabad, while the retail rate of live chicken was Rs 380 per kg.

Chicken meat prices in other cities of the country also vary, with profiteers in some cities charging prices higher than the fixed prices.
