Chinese Foreign Minister, Field Marshal discuss strategic partnership

ISLAMABAD: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has met the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in which the regional security situation, counter-terrorism measures, and other matters of mutual interest were discussed in detail.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen the all-weather strategic partnership and enhance coordination at regional and international forums.”

The press release further stated that “Mr. Wang Yi reiterated China’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and development. The COAS expressed gratitude for China’s consistent support.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to advance peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.”

It was also agreed in the meeting that both countries will continue to play their joint role in promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
