Lahore: During a high-level meeting chaired by newly elected Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, there was confusion regarding the suspension of 800,000 arms licenses. Initially reported, it was stated that the Chief Minister had issued directives to suspend these licenses, emphasizing that new licenses would only be issued through the courts.

However, the spokesperson of the Punjab government clarified that there was no such directive from the Chief Minister’s office regarding the suspension of arms licenses in Punjab.

Contrary to the initial reports, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister, did not issue any orders to suspend arms licenses. Additionally, she announced a project aimed at repairing streets across the province during a meeting with Punjab Assembly Members from District Sheikhupura and Nankana.
