LAHORE: The free solar panel scheme by the Punjab government is an excellent effort that aims at helping the citizens to reduce electricity rates, which have been skyrocketing lately.
It was announced on December 6, 2024, by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the program targets citizens who consume 100 to 200 units of electricity.
If you have already applied for a free solar system, make sure to monitor your application status to stay in the know.
To Know the application status of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Free Solar Panel scheme visit the PITB-designed portal at (link unavailable), log in with your registered email and password, and navigate to the ‘Application Status’ section on the dashboard.
Your application status will be displayed as ‘Under Review,’ ‘Approved,’ or ‘Rejected.’
If you are not able to access the online portal, do not worry as there are other ways in which you can check the status. You can easily contact their helpline and provide your CNIC or reference number to get help.
If you apply via SMS, you will get regular updates about your application status; therefore, you must keep a confirmation message with you. Under this program, 100,000 kits shall be installed this year and consumers using up to 100 units a month shall get 550 W and those consuming up to 200 units a month 1100 W solar power kits.
This program will greatly reduce the electrification charges of the eligible consumers and also contribute toward environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions by nearly 57,000 tonnes a year
