COAS meets Army’s Gold Medalist squad in ‘Exercise Cambrian Patrol’

RAWALPINDI: General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), met with the Pakistan Army squad that won the coveted Gold Medal in the UK’s “Exercise Cambrian Patrol.”

143 teams participated in the Cambrian Patrol, which is regarded as one of the most difficult military drills in the world. The Pakistan Army contingent proved to be incredibly skilled and resilient, and this is the sixth time the Pakistan Army has won this prestigious award.

The team’s remarkable achievement of representing Pakistan with distinction on a global stage was praised by the Army Chief. An intense test of mental toughness, tactical awareness, and physical stamina, the Exercise Cambrian Patrol is held in the harsh mountainous region of mid-Wales, UK.

It highlights cooperation, leadership, self-control, bravery, and tenacity under the most demanding operational scenarios, serving as a benchmark for military excellence.
