QUETTA: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Balochistan has foiled a major terrorist plot by recovering a significant cache of arms and ammunition in the Sariab area of Quetta.
The operation, carried out on a tip-off, yielded Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), automatic weapons, hand grenades, and various types of ammunition. According to initial investigations, the terrorists were planning a major attack within the next 24 to 72 hours. Although no arrests were made during the operation, the CTD is conducting raids to apprehend the suspects.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Sarfaraz Bugti has vowed to end terrorism in the province, prioritizing solutions to the problems faced by the people of Balochistan.
He assured that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is determined to eradicate terrorism, thwarting enemy elements’ nefarious intentions. This development comes amid recent CTD operations in Quetta and other areas, resulting in the neutralization of alleged terrorists.
